Blog time. I'm leaving to study abroad in Macerata, Italy on the 8th of January which seems completely ridiculous to me right now.  Regardless, this is a good place to see what I'm up to while I am over there if the foreign travels of me seem interesting to you.  I'll also have a super nice camera I just got a crazy delicious deal on.  So photos galore!

Here's the run-down on the area and what I'll be doing over there:

Macerata, Italy is a town of around 43,000 located on the east coast area of central Italy. Wikipedia says it is a "historical city center is located on a hill between the Chienti and Potenza rivers." Here is what it looks like in map terms.

Also, here is the coat of arms.

In terms of what I'm actually studying, I have some pretty interesting classes to take.  I'll be learning Italian (100 level....), and taking other classes in Art History, Film, Painting, and Culture. I get to take painting at the local Accademia di Belle Arti.  I'm not exactly sure what that means, but it sounds exciting. I'm also going to try and keep up with my Visual Communications projects...we'll see how that goes.

A week and two days seems like way too short of a time.  I'm crazy excited but also the required amount of terrified and nervous. I'll be keeping up with this a regularly as possible, feel free to comment or say hello!
